Easter (BUCKETS)

For some reason the Easter Bunny always seams to go a little overboard at our house every year. I think I need to have a talk with her about it. So this year, since we didnt have a basket for Grayson, the EB bought buckets. They were a bit bigger than a basket and could hold a little more. I think after Easter I will look for some really cute (on sale) baskets for the whole family. Anyway, here are the kids buckets!
Grayson's was hidden behind the couch, among some blankets. And it contained clothes and some pajamas(underneath everything else) new bottles, new sippy cups, some new forks and spoons, 3 books, a couple new toys, some yummy treats, and a new pair of sunglasses.

Grant's was hidden a little harder in the bathroom off my scrapbook room. His contained new clothes and pajamas, 3 books, a spiderman puzzle, a jumprope, an art set, the movie Tangled, Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers on DVD, eggs with money in them, lots of candy to share with mom and dad, and LEGOS.

Now I have to go to bed so that we can get up early and find them!

Draper Easter Egg Hunt!

Grayson's first Easter egg hunt, but he didnt really care. He was wondering why we were out in the cold and why there were sooooo many people!
There were a TON of people, but Grant had fun anyway!
Here he is with his goodies! Of course it was the cheap candy, just some little chocolate egg things. But he was super excited to get them.
It was sad, a lot of kids walked away with only one or two eggs. So I would say he did pretty well!

Missing her..

We are trying to make a plan to get our sweet baby boy blessed. Jared has talked to the bishop and agreed on a night. He is going to wear Grant's blessing outfit, which makes me so happy. As we discuss the details I ask Jared who we want to invite. He names off at least 20 different people and I name 5. Yep 5. That's it. This makes me so sad. I really want my Grandma and my Opa to be there. The problem is Opa can't drive, he lives kinda far away, I wont have the time to go get him, and I dont want to be a burden to anyone else asking them to bring him. He stood in the circle when we blessed Grant and I am so grateful that he could be there on Grant's big day. Opa is the only grandparent I have left. The other problem is I want Grandma there more than anything. I want her to sit by me. I want to see her beautiful smile and know that she is proud of the mother I am. I want to hold her hand and give her a big hug. I want to see her face light up when Grayson flashes his sweet ear to ear smile at her. I just miss her.

7 months

I know I am a horrible mother. Now that Grayson is almost 7.5 months old I am just remembering to post these pictures. Oh well, better late than never, right? So here are my baby boys 7 month pictures!

Just some of the CUTENESS!!

Aunt Gigi

Sunday evening my Aunt Virginia (Gigi) passed away. She left behind two daughters and many family members who loved her. Gigi lived a hard life and it brings me so much comfort to know that she is free from the suffering of this world. I know that she is healed and happy now. I hope that she knows that I love her and I cant wait to be reacquainted with the Aunt Gigi I laughed with and looked up to. She was such a caring person and so funny. She could always make me laugh. She was also a very talented artist. I hope that I can be of some comfort to her girls. And I want them to know that I will always be here for them! I love you girls!!

Another first!!

Tonight we gave Grayson strawberries for the first time. We got some from Costco and as we were eating them tonight he was eyeing them and whining like he wanted some. The doc said that we could start berries when he turned 7 months, so I thought why not?? He is only a few days away from 7 months. So I just cut one up into tiny little peices and put it in his little net feeder thingy. I dont know what it is called, but I love it. He can eat the same things we can and I dont have to worry about him choking. Well the strawberries were a huge hit! He LOVED them! He wouldnt even smile for me, he was so intent on getting every little bit he could.

It was super juicy and messy! I cant wait to let him go outside this summer and get naked and make a huge mess of himself!!
He makes some of the silliest faces!
Then he had a little blueberry applesauce and headed to the shower with daddy to get all clean!!
 SQUEEKY CLEAN!!
How dang adorable is this boy?!?
He loves showers with daddy and loves to be naked!
This is his new trick.. He blows raspberries! It is so funny!
Silly little stinker!

Nice and cozy! All ready to go to bed!
