Grayson's blessing

I am so far beind on blogging, so here it is almost a month late!
Jared blessed Grayson last month at the church on a Wednesday night. We didnt make a big deal about it, but we were so glad to have our imediate family there with a few exceptions. All of Jared's family made it, except Shane and Elysha, whom we would have loved to be there. All of my family was there as well. Plus Aunt Susie, Ian Monica and the kids, and my best friend Sara. Jared did a great job with the blessing and I was so proud of him. Grayson talked through the whole thing and it was very cute and sweet! He had no idea what was going on, but I could definitely feel the spirit and I know there were a few extra spirits there as well.

I love these beautiful boys more than life!

You may notice that he is laying on a very flowery blankie. Well this blanket is special to me, because it was my grandma's. Actually I made it for my grandma when she was diagnosed with cancer. Grandma would get cold while she was doing her chemo treatments, so I made her this blanket and a neck roll that could be warmed up. She took them with her to keep her warm. After she passed my mom gave me the blanket back, knowing that I would want to keep it to remember her by. You know the best part? When I got it back it still smelled like her. Unfortunately it has lost that smell now.

 I am so blessed!!
 My awesome parents!

 Aunt Sassy

Easter (BUCKETS)

For some reason the Easter Bunny always seams to go a little overboard at our house every year. I think I need to have a talk with her about it. So this year, since we didnt have a basket for Grayson, the EB bought buckets. They were a bit bigger than a basket and could hold a little more. I think after Easter I will look for some really cute (on sale) baskets for the whole family. Anyway, here are the kids buckets!
Grayson's was hidden behind the couch, among some blankets. And it contained clothes and some pajamas(underneath everything else) new bottles, new sippy cups, some new forks and spoons, 3 books, a couple new toys, some yummy treats, and a new pair of sunglasses.

Grant's was hidden a little harder in the bathroom off my scrapbook room. His contained new clothes and pajamas, 3 books, a spiderman puzzle, a jumprope, an art set, the movie Tangled, Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers on DVD, eggs with money in them, lots of candy to share with mom and dad, and LEGOS.

Now I have to go to bed so that we can get up early and find them!

Draper Easter Egg Hunt!

Grayson's first Easter egg hunt, but he didnt really care. He was wondering why we were out in the cold and why there were sooooo many people!
There were a TON of people, but Grant had fun anyway!
Here he is with his goodies! Of course it was the cheap candy, just some little chocolate egg things. But he was super excited to get them.
It was sad, a lot of kids walked away with only one or two eggs. So I would say he did pretty well!

Missing her..

We are trying to make a plan to get our sweet baby boy blessed. Jared has talked to the bishop and agreed on a night. He is going to wear Grant's blessing outfit, which makes me so happy. As we discuss the details I ask Jared who we want to invite. He names off at least 20 different people and I name 5. Yep 5. That's it. This makes me so sad. I really want my Grandma and my Opa to be there. The problem is Opa can't drive, he lives kinda far away, I wont have the time to go get him, and I dont want to be a burden to anyone else asking them to bring him. He stood in the circle when we blessed Grant and I am so grateful that he could be there on Grant's big day. Opa is the only grandparent I have left. The other problem is I want Grandma there more than anything. I want her to sit by me. I want to see her beautiful smile and know that she is proud of the mother I am. I want to hold her hand and give her a big hug. I want to see her face light up when Grayson flashes his sweet ear to ear smile at her. I just miss her.
